[Report from Unmanned Airspace website on July 20] On July 20, 2026, U.S. defense technology firm Ondas announced that, together with local distributor HIFraser, it has secured a US$6.9 million contract from the Australian Department of Defence to deliver man-portable compact counter-unmanned aircraft system suites featuring DTIM (Detect-Track-Identify-Mitigate) capabilities to the Australian Defence Force. The contract was originally awarded to DZYNE, which has been acquired by Ondas. Relevant counter-UAS technologies and R&D teams have now been integrated into Ondas Sentinel, the defense business division under Ondas.
  The DTIM suite is a man-portable counter-unmanned system covering the full operational workflow, integrating four core functions: detection, tracking, identification and jamming. Equipped with the combat-proven DTI detection platform, the system enables omnidirectional long-range drone detection with a maximum detection range exceeding 25 kilometers. It supports remote identification and drone signal tracking, and can issue real-time threat alerts. Leveraging artificial intelligence recognition algorithms and a dynamically updated threat database, it can rapidly classify targets. The equipment also incorporates the Dronebuster (DB4) handheld jamming module, of which more than 3,000 units have been deployed worldwide. It can conduct signal jamming against drones, with an optional positioning and timing signal attack capability. Furthermore, it can seamlessly connect to TAK situational awareness terminals to support collaborative sharing of battlefield situational information.

  The complete set of equipment features a compact design for individual portable use, enabling rapid deployment to adapt to complex field and urban combat scenarios, and precisely meeting the mobile counter-unmanned aerial system operational requirements of frontline troops. At present, Ondas Sentinel has expanded its production capacity and will commence equipment delivery in accordance with the contract. Meanwhile, preparations have been made to accept follow-up additional procurement orders from Australia, continuously advancing the global market rollout of its integrated counter-UAS solutions.
