In the first half of 2024, the number of newly registered drones increased by 48% compared to last year, highlighting the issue of standardized management in low-altitude airspace.

Data from the Civil Aviation Administration of China shows that there are currently over 14,000 drone companies holding valid civil unmanned aerial vehicle operation certificates, and the number of people holding drone operator licenses has exceeded 225,000. In the first half of this year, nearly 608,000 new drones were registered, a 48% increase from the end of last year. The cumulative flight hours of drones have reached 9.816 million hours, an increase of 134,000 hours compared to the same period last year.

Drones, as the leading industry of the low-altitude economy, have experienced a rapid explosion in the first half of the year, and the standardized management of drone flight is also accelerating on the agenda. These figures also reflect some urgent practical issues that need to be addressed, such as:

How to enhance the standardization of drone and pilot data and the connection with flight management?

How to manage the real-time dynamics of urban no-fly zones in a coordinated manner?

How to carry out refined airspace management efficiently and conveniently?

How to control illegal drones in a timely and effective manner to ensure airspace safety?

How to achieve the sharing and exchange of low-altitude domain data resources?

...

To address the existing pain points and needs in the field of the low-altitude economy, MYT technology began to increase investment last year and started the research and development of a low-altitude airspace drone supervision and service platform. The platform is currently being piloted within the public security system of a certain city.

The platform focuses on airspace supervision and joint deployment, and is an integrated low-altitude safety early warning and control application platform that combines supervision and services. It aims to build a complete process of low-altitude airspace management and service system to achieve "visibility," "control," and "good governance," standardize the management of low-altitude airspace, and ensure the safety, orderliness, and efficiency of low-altitude flight operations.

The platform, with the core of large screen, application, and mobile terminals, has functions such as pilot management, flight mission management, refined airspace management, flight target control, emergency handling, and simulated deployment, and integrates pilot reporting, flight reporting, and drone reporting into one, building an integrated management system for low-altitude airspace.
